 From S. America. Seed themselves and we allow them hither and yon, but they always get enormous, and for some reason I haven't caught them fully open, so I just shot straight down to get the frilly tips. Played a lot of back and forth with median filter and USM.

ETA: thanks pixelpig, I'll have to change my ways to catch this one.

Beautiful! If you want a shot of these in full bloom you have to get out at dawn--they're nightblooming. And beautiful (did I say that already?) You have a beautiful, instantly recognizeable, comp here.
