 Day 28 of 30 Flowers

It's been raining all day so this is from my "archives." A relative of the Hummingbird Moth, which seemed like an appropriate followup to yesterday's actual Hummingbird. They hover like a Hummingbird instead of landing on the flowers they're sipping from.

It was early evening when he visited so I had to crank up the ISO.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, 2nd layer (Gaussian blur, dodged bug and flower, merged in multiply mode at 10% transparency), dodged/burnt bug a little more, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.

Nice catch and pose. (Awhile back I found the caterpillar of a close relation, very beautiful and uncommon for here, so its nice to see its apogee).
