 This was taken in my light tent with lighting on both walls of tent; it's a David Yurman bracelet my husband bought me a few years ago..I love his jewelry designs...raw file,cropped, converted to b&w in channel mixer, black gradient added at top of image, sharpen, clone out some cat hair on black fabric background {cats keep sleeping in the light tent}, usm, resize for web

post challenge: thank you for taking time to comment and vote...I didn't use the whole name when shooting this image because I wasn't sure about product copyright..it is certainly exciting to win a ribbon after 3 years...maybe it's not that long considering I began photography with an Olympus 2mp camera 3 years ago! I had an image with the whole bracelet in focus; somehow, when I compared the two, it didn't draw the eye inward as much as this one did.

I love the lighting and concept for this one, it looks just like something out of a magazine. I might like to see a little bit wider depth of field so that the whole bracelet is in focus. Still a wonderful photo.

If it was a Product shot in a book I think you would see the product name entirely. Still a clean photography.

From the thumbnail it looks like the handle of a shopping bag. I like that....it's great for an ad because it suggests shopping. Then when you look at the large image you see that it is a beautiful piece of jewelry. I love the dramatic B&W treatment. My pick for a ribbon.
