 SWEET!!! I am so excited to have ribboned in a FS!!

I went out on a full moon to shoot for the Long Exposure challenge and waited as as the moon rose over the horizon behind me as the light started to just hit the large rock on the right. It was really nice and calm night and a little luck with the clouds waiting to come in until the moon was just high enough I got this. :)

From time to time, people ask where I took certain shots so I created this google map thing with a few shot locations. Feel free to use it if you like. I will try to add more shots as I take them. :) Google Map

Oh, Joe. I know every one of those spots and MY pictures don't turn out like YOUR pictures.

It's magic, that's what it is. And talent and perseverance and hard work and a lot of other stuff.

All kidding aside, this was one of the ones I scored veryhigh, and expected to see ribbon. SUCH a sweet imahe.. Congrats!

Joe, this is absolutely stunning! I was hoping it would get the blue but third is ok too. I love the stars, the transparency of the water reflections, and the crisp detail in the rocks. Very well done and well deserved!

Joe!!! Sweet inDEED! That absolutely is one of the most breathtaking photos I've seen. I have tried many times to get beautiful starry night shots, but as you know first hand, conditions have to be juuuust right with the moon and the clouds. That's why I appreciate this so much. It is PERFECTION! Congratulations!

I'm guessing that you have used a long exposure here. It gives it a really surreal feel as at first I though this was mist/fog, but then I looked again and realised water and reflections :)
