**Critique Club**

Hi Inga!

This is an excellent shot. IMHO, the tone is just perfect. I apologize that this won't be much of a long winded critique, but this image is pretty close to perfect, for me. The one change that I think may have improved this would be if only the two posts on the right were there.

Other than that, perfect!

Regards!
Chris

This was just my reaction too; not MUCH more tone range though, because I like how much detail you've depicted with a limited palette ... a very difficult effect to pull off as well as you have here.

The thing that struck me was the great texture here. Good capture...

like the stark ness of this ..

I like it. Looks very desolate. Nice choice of black and white. Nice composition. Definitely says in the country, but doesn't really tell me enough about what makes your place special and unique. Not much to see besides a broken down fence. Still, I like it and the photo is good. Overall: 7

An absolutely wonderful shot. I have it in my top 5. From an advanced editing standpoint, I think that you missed a little on the crop. I would find this more attractive had you balanced the space between the borders and your right and left fence posts. The very tall fence post directly in the center conflicts with the wonderful triangulation that you receive from the fencepost that tilts to the right. I would ask that you cut in off directly above the barbed-wire, and patch in a little hillside, and the sky. I cheering for a ribbon from you. 9

Nice old fence, grassy field and sky are really great modifiers.

A nice wild landscape, but the barbed wire is a bit off-putting, although I think I
know why you included it. There is a look of studied neglect.

Nice. I like the feeling. Good choice in B & W.

....deserted country?

A lovely image with a wonderful desolate air to it. Despite the subject matter I think I'd prefer a touch more contrast.

I love the simplicity of the picture...maybe (?) a little better if the center post wasn't dead-center. Still a great picture; love the B/W. 8

I love this. 9 from me. I'm a sucker for anything prairie, blowing grasses, wheat fields, rolling hills. :) Barbed wire!! nice shot, love the focus and tones.

Nice, but that post in the middle is out of place. Could you have kicked it down before taking the pic? LOL
