We have just published an article, Child Model or Porn Star, the article voices concern at the number of preteen websites that try to pass themselves off as agents for child models. Many of the children depicted are aged three to thirteen and the dress, pose and sophisticated look of the model are inappropriate and could only be classed as pornographic. it appears that as long as the child is not nude it is legal. We do state in the article that there is nothing wrong with a photograph of a child that is appropriate and this image is one that is both appropriate and funny.
We should not be ashamed of appreciating the beauty of the naked form, child or adult, as long as it is appropriate and not intended pander to basic carnal desires of the depraved, which many of these sites are.
Loved the picture from a none photographer -- thanks to the digital camera I take several hundred shots knowing one will be very good.

Black and white art. The wet draping of the suit. Yes, their little bums are beautiful. Are we losing something by being afraid to say so? Good for you and xianart. |

I typed up and deleted a comment on this shot during voting a dozen times. I guess I'm more of a prude than I thought, or maybe it's because I don't have kids but it really made me uncomfortable to look at it. Totally on my end, no inference of anything malicious on yours, but naked little kid butt posted on the net just doesn't feel right to me. Reading through your comments it looks like I am alone in getting creeped out over it. |

I very much dislike these kind of shots generally. The b&w is good, though the light is harsh and I'd have maybe cropped it wider. |

Cute idea. Lighting is a bit harsh. To be honest, the shot just doesn't pull me in much. |
