 This is my hilarious boyfriend Brandon

I had originally taken some self-portraits for this challenge, making some funny "Bummer" faces, but they weren't so funny. They looked more cute then funny.
So I decided to use him as my subject.
As you can see his facial expression is pretty funny, and gives off a "Bummer" expression.
I HAD to add the "Dude" in there because thats what I hear when I see this shot.

As for editing:
Drastic change in Shadow/&highlights which made this appear so much more crisp and added a nice contrast
then, Levels
Desaturation applied in normal mode
Gradient Map in Grayscale applied in normal mode
Then ran through neat image to soften overall look and fade grain in the wall
-Then unsharpmask to whole image
Resized & saved for web.

This was more my mistake with the misunderstanding of the photos concept.

I shouldnt have put the title in quotations, so atleast people could get the idea that he was saying it.
Oh well. Next time.

Ah, now I feel stupid knowing the tattoo was nothing to do with it, haha. Great shot, should've ranked higher.

Funny how many people didn't "get" this -- I thought your friend's expression said it all! And it never occurred to me the tattoo was anything but his tattoo. A different take on the subject, but meets the challenge. Definitely an underrated effort.

I don't quite understand why the name Liberdade in a tattoo is a bummer, is it just meant to be waking up with a weird tattoo that's the bummer? Either way, it's a great, sharp shot and his expression is great. Like the crop also.
