A small piece of fortune...driving home from dropping off the kidling for a night at Grandma's house, I decided to take the scencic route up the Niagara Parkway. I'd seen this Heron before, darting for minnows at the end of Lake Erie. As I came down the shore, I noticed her mate was there, too. She was a little skittish and took off, but I fired off quite a few of the male.
As I was almost done, he was suddenly startled by something at his feet, rose in to the air and began squawking like mad...I looked down, and a feral ferret came up out of the water. Once this voting period ends, I'll put up a few shots...unless I decide to make it my Free Study for September. In which case, FORGET I SAID ANYTHING!!!

| Great, great stop-motion shot! Detail is terrific. Bird is a bit blue; I might desaturate just the bird some to get it whiter, although a blue cast to the entire shot is not bad-looking here. |
