Actually, many DPC members dream in oversaturated HDR.

You've almost conveyed colourful , but it could do with being a bit brighter

I would have adjusted the levels on this photo, as it all seems a little dark to me, and it doesn't have to be. This could have brought out more differeing shades in the crayons, and therefore showed the better depth of colours.
