well i know nothing bout chess but this is a cool idea....the black and green seem alittle too dark though, like their blending together! |

I suppose someone has pointed this out, but you couldn't put two men into checking position (bishop and rook) in this formation because the king would have already been in check the previous turn. I, of course, have too much time on my hands to be noticing such things. The photo? Oh that's nicely done, especially in basic. |

Only a chess nerd is going to pick up on it, but you should have at least made it a plausible configuration. |

The choice of a dark green background works against this shot - there is not enough contrast between the black pieces and the background. |

this position seems impossible in a real game. |

Composition is EXCELLENT, great concept & very well executed. With that said however, I find the shadow @ the bottom of the frame to be very distracting... was that from your lens hood? |

The angle improves this photo a lot, and I like the reflection. |

Love the angle and that green background looks groovy. |

Can't get into chess set images. I enjoy a good game of chess, but as subject matter for photographs it's just a non-starter. Not voting, just commenting. Good luck. |

Really wish the lighting was better. The blacks are very hard to see. Composition is very nice. |
