I like the minimalist approach of this image.

The colors and DOF really make this shot. I like the golden hue created by the petal in the background.

Beautiful image, love the color and simple composition. I think the use of the negative space and shallow DOF give it context and depth. Well done.

I really love the colors, and the soft approach.....

I like the way the stamens give the impression that they are emerging from a thick orange void with your very shallow DOF. Like the border as well.

I like the DOF on this, it has almost an abstract quality to it. Or may a magical, mystical quality. There is a tad to much negative space for me, but it still has a nice feel to it.

Pesronally I like the VERY shallow DoF! It makes it seem almost unpredictable.

Nice shot!

Like the shallow depth of field, and the colours, looks like the pics interior decorators choose!

This has a sense of mystery to it. Like some fantasy world. The extreme shallow DOF is creating this feeling and works well. This isn't a shot that's going to make the school biology book, but would work well as an "art" type print. Nicely done.

I like this macr on various levels:
- strong colors, nothing washed out or over exposed
- the color difference between the pedals and the stems in focus
- the shallow DOF
- the parts in focus are actually the end of the stemps (not only one) and not some other parts of the stem.
-the amount of negative space and the lines bringing the viewer back to the stems

The background was actually the petal of the flower.

I like the colors. The DOF seems a bit too shallow. I like shallow DOF for flower macros, but I think a larger percent of the image should be within the focal distance.

Beautiful, warm colour, I like it that it fills the entire frame.

Good use of narrow focus (shallow DOF), although, in my opinion, it would work better if there were only one area of interest in focus - here you have 3,almost 4 if you include the slightly in focus petal area towards middle top left, and my eye doesn't know where to go.

The composition, again IMO, too much blank space without purpose. Blank space needs to have a purpose in an image - here it just seems to be there. And the placement of the in focus areas is a bit odd.

The border, IMO, is way too heavy for a delicate image such as this one.

But I do like the colour filling the entire frame, and I love the use of shallow DOF!

Very small DOF. Works well with this image, although I'd like to see it just a touch deeper. good color combination as well. Not to keen on the inside borders though.
