It's the hand again :o)

Lit by a single desklamp, cropped, focus tweaked, levels played with (lots!), and desaturated to b&w

this is so cool--the stark ligjting gives it a dark feel that really sets off the pills and makes it feel even more oppressive. nice job! 9--alecia

Something I don't want to be doing when I get old. Nicely done.

Great composition...my grandmother would love this...it would inspire a 20 minute run down of all the pills she takes :P Nice use of your single light source...the lighting actually contributes to the mood. Lisa

Black and white is powerful with this material.

Great use of lighting, great framing, great subject.... THIS is the dramatic that was asked for by the topic. It's so simple, but says so much. This is for me, the most powerful image I've seen on DPC. The title is great too and if you've kept up with all the hullaballoo in the forums dealing with titles, this one does exactly what it's supposed to do, help clarify some things without giving a long description of what's happening in the shot. Thanks so much for sharing it. 12/10 - (if I could) - Inspzil

Great use of light & shadow.
That hand looks like it's done a *lot* of work.

at last it loaded - it seems dark, like the whites are grey, not white. And the focus is off. The pills should be in focus , no the arm hairs. Move back and then crop in if your camera won't focus so close. The spotlight is also off, the pills ned to be lit for be the center of attention, not the ball of the thumb. However, ignoring the tecnical flaws, it is a powerful image, beatifully composed. 8 for effort.

I would love this photo so much more if maybe he had wedding bands or just nothing in his palm. But still pretty cool.

I like the "darkside" of this photo, and how it seems to come out of the darkness. Well composed, i think. karmat
