I really like how the dice were captured on edge. I gives the photo a dynamic quality. It makes me feel like someone is actually playing the game (even though there are no people present in the frame), whereas if they were static, it might convey a feeling of vacancy, which does not imply 'playing'. I like the choice of black and white - makes it more dramatic. |

Nice caputure. Since the background is blurred...it looks like the dice are just suspended in midroll. |

The crop is great, except that once dice is cut off. Agree that a shallow depth of field is the way to go, but maybe this was a little too shallow. The die could have been a little sharper and therefore the background blurred but not as much as it is now. |
