this morning i went for a walk on the firetrail and noticed a group of insects flying around very very quickly making a buzzing bee type noise but a bit deeper than the one's i'm used to .. anyway these insects were moving so fast that it took more than five minutes of just standing there to be able to identify them .. they were bumble bees and i've never seen them here before .. these ones arent much bigger than our honey bees but they have different colouring and are a lot sturdier looking .. a bit like comparing a bull terrier with a foxy .. :)
this is a quick process on greg gregoryb's computer .. i'd be very grateful if ppl looking at this could give me some feedback on the colours .. like do the red & yellow hues look over or under saturated .. thankyou ... :)

The way that the motion of the wings can clearly be seen is superb, although I find myself hunting around the image for something really sharp to look at.

Great shot. Ditto on the yellows.

This has got to be one of the hardest Macro shots to take. Given the magnification of the lens type and the size of the subject. Having an insect in motion and still getting parts of them in sharp detail is actually an art in itself. I really like the sense of motion in this. I look at it and I can almost hear the buzzing in my ears. This is very nice. I do think the yellows are a bit over the top. Not dramatically but just ever so slightly.

Saturation on red looks okay to me too, but the Yellows do look a bit over done, there also seems to be a bit of a green hue in quite a lot of the image, particularly on the bees back.

Nice capture though and love the blurred wings

Very nice, roz, I like the sense of buzzing, it comes through well.

As to your question, on my screen the reds look fine, but the yellows look just a little on the oversaturated, especially on the flower in back. Not much, but a little. You seem to have lost detail both in parts of the yellow areas and also in the dark area at left.
