I've been visualising this entry all week, and this is not at all it, but I like it anyway. Here's fingers crossed for the Aussie DPC Olympics team after my abysmal showing last week!

I really don't like it how the surface looks dusty and I am expecting comments about it, but I couldn't get it any better, and this is basic editing!

ETA:

This is a mango (a common tropical fruit in Australia). I just sliced a side off one and inverted it, then placed it on top of another whole mango. I guess they are not so common elsewhere!

Ah, sure enough it is a mango. We have lots of them here and I cut them like that sometimes to help cut the skin off easier and you can't very easily turn a cantaloupe inside out. You did well with the lighting. I wish you had gotten more comments. FWIW I gave you a 7.

lol, I love the canteloupe comment...... Lovely shot Lonni, I think its one of your best. Great composition, lighting, colours and balance. You should sell it to a fruit market!

Nicely composed, lighted and shot. The only thing I can suggest is to have the canteloupe sitting on another canteloupe instead of another type of melon.

I really like the way you have positioned the fruit together
