I sympathize with you. I didn't vote in this challenge, but if I had seen this I would have thought it was right-side up with a lawn on bottom, shaded wall and building even after looking at it for a while. It was just too perfect with no leaves or ripples in the water. Of course it's really obvious when you see the original unrotated image. If we had seen some more orientation detail "below" the lawn or if there were some floating leaves people would have gotten it. It wouldn't have been as nice a picture in original orientation, but it would have helped people figure it out. |

What What What? This got a 4.5? I gave you a 6. My guess is that most people didn't take the time to understand the photograph. Great shot. |

Cool shot. It should have scored a bit higher but that's not a surprise in our speed voting contests after the challenges have been completed. ;] |

I didn't vote in this challenge, but if I had, I probably would have given it a 6. The image is nice and sharp, and the colors and composition are nice. This was quite an illusion and your success at capturing it lead to confusion as I'm sure most voters couldn't tell this was a reflection and thought "DMNC" when viewing it. I'm finding out that you have to hit the majority of the voters over the head with an image that very obviously fits the challenge so my only advice would be to be have a very literal take on the challenge description. I know I will next time, if I continue to beat my head against the DPC wall! I only received a 4.5648 on my "Inside Out" picture, so only my second worst score - I can't even win a "worst score" challenge! :-D Good luck in future challenges! |

Pretty much nothing to add to what the others said, it's a great image but I suspect you were a victim of not forcing the image into peoples faces :) |

Much too clear a reflection. You clearly confused everyone by shooting a reflection which was upside down but when viewed upside down made the building look right side up. People don't like to have to analyze images, it makes their brains hurt. What were you thinking?? Next time drop a pebble in the water (automatic bonus for showing water, too). |

It is absolutely insane that such a good image could be voted so low. I think DPC voters have lost their minds.... |

Shame mate, you were so obviously slaughtered by the 2 second voters!
I think this is a stunning shot and that score is more an embarrasment to the voters of DPC not to you :( |

I think this image suffered from "I don't understand!! :(" type votes more than it did from any technical flaw. Pity -- I really liked it. |

My immediate thought was "NOT ANOTHER DAMN ROTATED IMAGE!!" but fortunately I like to look at images to see if I am missing something and I so obviously was after a few moments of adjusting (which I wouldn't be surprised to see you slated in the votes for due to the 2second voters).
Love the lines, love the clarity in the reflection raelly, really nice image, would have been in my top 5 easy and probably an 8 or 9 just for the thought in the way the image was shot.

The wall is a reflection of the dark wall but how did you do that ?? |

Without a little more context, it looks like a regular photo. It's hard to tell the grass is upside-down. |
