 This is a hood of an old Ford bus. A little levels chang and contrast, cropped.

I used a polarizer filter to get more color to the sky and more contrast.

I expect comments on it beiing to dark, but I wanted it to have a lot of contrast trying to express the felling of a slow death and bleeding wounds.

I had a strong idea about how the picture for this challenge should be, I was really happy to find this bus on a sales trip to Selfoss, and spent some time on getting the light and contrast right. I´m pretty happy with the resault.

oh my! voting and voting and voting rusted pictures and then suddenly get wakened up by this picture! It's so clean and clear that even the rust looks classy. I love the colours and the air (polar or burning?), that B700 finishes it off, because without it, it wouldn't have a fixed focusing point. The only minor thing is the small DOF, it looks like the far left site isn't sharp, it would be great if that was also razorsharp like the rest..

I'm loving the sky in this. Very nice day for taking photos. I really don't know what your B-700 is, so I guess this is like an abstract for me, but I'm thinking it's either an airplane or a car? Definately rusted, and your focus and clarity are really good to show the details of the rust. I like how the B-700 looks practically new among the rust. Good angle and framing/cropping. Love the object on that blue sky. ~Heather~

Very interesting sky and plane. I think I would have liked this better if the colors had not been so saturated. It is still quite lovely.

The colors and composition of this image are quite nice. I like the addition of the sky very much but there is quite a lot of it. While (if it was mine) I'd probably crop the sky quite severely to about one inch or so, what you have done is exciting. Glad you saw the possibililties in this.
