 Once I'd thought of this idea, it took several days and a couple of trips to the arts & crafts shop for the props, followed by a couple of evenings working out how to do the lighting. A great learning experience and my first serious attempt at using multiple flash lighting and reflectors.

Made the syringe point from a thumb tack point glued into the nozzle, then filled the syringe with pearlescent glue to get the liquid metal effect. The coin is artwork blu-tacked to the glass.

Lighting is one flash behind the blue background and another behind and to the left of the camera, with a white sheet of cardboard just out of shot on the right to fill in the shadows.

PP - crop, add single hue/saturation layer to desaturate certain colours and get the silver effect (thanks to Konador for the excellent selective desat tutorial) - also to make the background blue a bit stronger. Single brightness/contrast layer to add pop. Save as JPEG.

Excellent studio creation. To even furthur add liquidity, you could run clear silicone glue over the coin to look like drips.

Very creative and an original concept.

Should have scored a lot higher, but for this dumb mass of chimps who twitch and salivate as they vote 10's on water drop shots challenge after challenge after challenge.
