 A couple of trees (well, part of them anyway) at the top of the cable car lift in Rüdesheim, in the fog. 'Twas a lovely day.

Stuck a version of this in my portfolio. Didn't get much notice except for a very much appreciated "fav" from alfresco. Stuck it in a thread requesting comments a couple of weeks later and it seemed to go over fairly well. A couple more folks fav'd it, and SandyP asked me to make a print available. So I "hid" it and saved it as a potential FS. It's been my desktop wallpaper at home since I edited it, I still quite like it, and I've nothing else on the short list at the moment. So in it goes. Apologies to those who don't like to see shots that have been in portfolios earlier in the month. Probably lacks sufficient "WOW" for a free study, but maybe it has a little "ooohhh!"?

So...I'm guessing not a lot of "oohhh". Definitely no wow whatsoever. I still like it.

Definitely deserved a higher score for this wonderful 'foggy' autumn collection of nature.....

I cannot get this out of my mind as I can see it written in a fairytale movie script or fairytale book..... A feeling of peace and tranquility with a palette of autumn colors.....

Definitely a favorite..... love mshez

I liked it. I love fog in pictures. The yellow leaves have a very pretty glow about them.

Ok. I am SERIOUSLY protesting a 5.8 for this photo! This is the one I want to hang on my wall. Is it up for prints yet???? I'm going to go look for it. I want it.

Maybe not exciting enough for voters, but then there's more to photography than "DPC wow". Makes me wish I had been there! Fog always lends a bit of mystery!

I didn't have this come up in voting, but I ran into it while browsing the entries after I voted. My reaction was "Ooooooohh!" Love the misty background. Nice work, Deb. I knew there was a reason I faved you early on.

I see what you were going for here, a fantasy mood. To me, though, it looks like the trees are on fire and that we're seeing the smoke from it... I think a less grayish/white effect and more of a clear blurring effect would make this even better.
