Ahh, the fickleness of children. Is the bike truly outgrown or just no longer interesting? Have they already gone on to cars or pickup trucks, instead, for transportation? Makes you wonder.
Just outside the local Sally Ann leans this kid's bike, covered by the first early snowfall of the season. I saw this shot, ran inside to ask the staff to not let anyone move it, drove home, got the Nikon and drove back. The things I do for my art! :-)
Went against how I normally shoot and shot from a standing position, looking down, to enforce the smallness of the bike and give the viewer an idea of my POV. I want the viewer to think: is the bike being truly looked down on? Or is it simply a statement of fact?

I liked this 'cause whether it's abandoned for good, or just for now, kids are like that! Robbed on the score, IMNSHO.......it is sooooooooooooo a good rendition of abandoned.
Outgrown and left out in the snow :( Not so old and rusted, yet clearly has been left out carelessly [possibly just overnight though, eh? ;)]. Not sure about the downward point of view, looks static but has potential with a bit of dressy editing.
No, I don't want snow! I know it's coming here soon! The brightness makes it hard to see some details that I think would enhance the pic. I'd like to see a version with the exposure toned down a little.
