Slice of Life Side Challenge - #5

Dreyfoos Hall at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, FL.

My husband and I attended a matinee performance of the Mariinsky Orchestra (formerly the Kirov Orchestra). The program included Wagner, Beethoven, and Prokofiev. It was a good and relaxing way to wait for the election to end.

The perspective here is just fantastic and I love that splash of blue. Years ago I attended the Detroit Symphony in their hall (forget the name) and we were up in the nosebleed seats. The sound in the "bad" seats was awesome. Too bad these days many places just don't understand this and feel the need to amplify classical music.

I like all the different "shapes" that the lighter colors form with the lines.

This is one of the few things that I miss about living in a city. The little Sony and your shooting skill, made for a good capture, and, everyone cooperated by sitting still for the exposure too.

Definitely a neat SOL! I've never seen an orchestra perform, I think I'd love it though. I was in the school band for 6 years. I bet it sure was relaxing.

Nice detail. A real feeling of depth looking down on all those heads.

I really like this a lot. The perspective makes my nose want to bleed as I am afraid of heights but, I do like how it draws you to the stage. I'm also a big fan of the contrasting warm to cool colors. Just an excellent shot.
