 Chocolate ice cream is my favorite -- there is no doubt or argument about that.

However, since I was a little girl, there is another flavor that is a close second. It rarely gets mentioned, though, because it isn't really common. There is a place near Boone, NC that sells it (or used to), and around Christmas, two or three companies market it. I found some tonight . . . .

I haven't thought about peppermint ice cream in many years. I remember the kind that was bought (OMG - maybe 30 years ago) had little bits of peppermint candy in them. Anyway, good job making the ice cream jump off the screen.

Yumm! I have a recipe that I make every once in a while. It's good with chocolate syrup on top!

A banana, a scoop of mint chocolate chip and a scoop of peppermint, add whip cream and you've got my all time favorite!! And yes, it's very hard to find.

Now that appeals to me!!! I like the angle of this shot, and of course I like the subject. It's been my favorite since I was a child too. And I never realized before that Edy's has a little AOL running man on the logo.
