Very nice! Technically it is sharp and looks good in b/w. But I also like the entire concept. The cropping with both faces on the outside but enough visible to see that it is a young couple (or at least opposite sex) laves something for the imagination.
I also like how the guy holds the can in a guy manner while the girl is doing in a much more girly way.

Periodic table? OK I see tin cans, that is an element, but the way they are being used just doesn't seem to imply any sort of connection to the challenge.

Looking past the DNMC (in my opinion), I like the image overall, the gray scale is very pleasing and for an image without a subject in the center, this one is very interesting.

Lots of fun - very sweet image and simple yet to the point. Strange how the cut-off faces pull the eye outwards beyond the edges.
