I apparently live in a blue state now, and I noticed these while walking the dog and thought they'd be a little more original than a red fall leaf. Not that I dislike leaf pictures; I just didn't feel like taking one.
So here is another non-native horribly invasive weed which I find rather lovely this time of year. At least this one isn't in my yard. The berries range from a pale Robin's Egg to a deep Navy blue and every shade in between. I went sort of middle-of-the-road blue. Centrist Blue, perhaps.
The bokeh in the background is what made me pick this shot out of the bunch. Much blue and fun patterns made by the vines. The composition and crop are nonstandard, but the berries tend to grow in bunches opposite each other, which I find less attractive than alternating bunches. So I played around till I got this sort of diagonal arrow shape out of the vine and it felt reasonably balanced. Some people may not like the fact that I cut off that one bunch of berries but it is appropriate for an invasive weed to be escaping from my frame, and they're escaping in the direction of the arrow. I probably should have literally cut that bunch off but it was in a park and one isn't supposed to mess with the wild things ;-)
Late afternoon light, in case anyone was wondering.
PP - rotated, cropped, increased saturation and contrast, added border, resized, sharpened with slight noise reduction. |

Not bad. I like the blurred background/bokeh and colors. Good job! |

I love this picture and the only thing I would suggest is a touch more room for the upper right berry cluster. Nice work! |

Would prefer if the part that was in focus was a little further away from the edge of the frame. |
