 i was walking on the firetrail this morning and noticed this very small butterfly on a wattle leaf .. i took a couple of shots and then katee scared it away ..
i wasnt going to put it in our slice of life but waddy MelonMusketeer posted a butterfly that looked very similar so i thought i'd put this little guy in too ..

Wow Roz, another of your fantastic macro's. You have great DOF and sharpness on the bug, and fine colors for BG as well, so it stands out nicely. I see that you shot this with flash, and maybe that is what I need to start doing for my close ups like this in order to get better DOF with smaller aperture settings.
The detail on the wing is excellent.

beautiful image and all that detail/texture in the butterfly..you need to find a way to hook an electron microscope to your cam body :)

WOW that is so close and so dam good..... I love the fine detail of the head of the butterfly as you have captured it perfectly. Another great macro for your collection.....
