its not water drops
t hose are genuine tears
that will happen when you overcome with sheer emotion
because of the beauty what your eye behold
(pffff got that of my chest)
ok one just on the edge would have been enough
but then and again when you have a whole eye dropper full
it is tempting

being a traditionalist, I would crop some from the top for more impact. But that notwithstanding, it is a nice moody image. On a second thought, the other thing which takes away from it for me is the water drops. I can't look at water drops anymore :) |

Wow. Hard to believe this scored a 4 considering other images in the challenge. And I love the crop, or lack of it - it seems so final, which I thought, going by the title, was the point. For what its worth, I gave you a seven. But I only did one pass and gave up after 20% (disenchantment) so 7 was my highest score for the challenge. Wonderfully seen and captured. |

I saw your post in the posthumous thread... I gave you a five, and after further review, maybe you should have had a 6... I do like this shot, but when it comes to "Red" it doesn't really say anything to me... If the theme were Autumn, or Rain, I think you would've done much better.
Standing on its own though, outside of the challenge I think it works well! |

This is beautiful, nostalgic and melancholy. Too bad I didn't vote in this... |

This is a lovely image. Pity you entered it in this challenge though, because I just can't see it scoring well with voters looking for red. |

There is something I like in this photo but the composition is a bit of, the main leaf too centered, red very subtle but I guess there is enough of it...interesting but it could be way better. |

I wish the leaf was a tad more off center and red was more prominent in the photo. |

I like the mood in this image. I think it could be made much more dynamic by cropping the top almost down to the central leaf. |

I like the colors in this. Would like the main leaf to be a little more off-center. |

Well, I guess there's red under all that water, but couldn't you have found some really red leaves? Some autumn leaves are the most amazing, rich red; these have a few red lines running through them. |
