I give my heart.

Editing:

Raw conversion in Lightroom 2. Vignette added in LR also.

Hue sat layer masked out to create the red effect for the heart. Curves, levels, selective colour, color balance, hue sat, gradient map, USM... erm, that might be it. I had to do this 3 times because my computer is having some mental problems.

Lit with 1 bare flash above right held in my right hand whilst taking the picture with my left, but with my right eye (try this, it's fun).

I think that's about it... i think the reds may have killed the texture, but hey, i had 2 hours to do everything so sue me.

Sans rancune, sous la lune,
On applaudit les somnambules,
Pas trop fort, juste un réconfort,
Pour leurs efforts

Nicely done, though I think this concept is starting to become a little cliche. (However, there is not a water drop to be found in this shot!)

A bit too dark and contrasty for my tastes, overall not bad.

sorry but I dont like when photos are redone here over and over. lol. however, at least you did something new with it and made the shadow change color.

ive seen this done many times before, but this has got to be my favorite, the vintage looking ring, the vintage type text everything is perfect, 9

Nice image, I like the red infused into the middle of the heart, it strikes me as a little dark though and a smooth ring might have rendered a crisper heart

very good use of a familiar DPC technique

Very clever, I like the shadow being red but the ring being clear, looks cool. Nice colors, nice contrast.

I find it to be strange that the text inside the red area is so much cleaner than outside - wonder if you sticked the heart shape there or if it was achieved in PP. The idea is quite old, but the DOF and lighting you used still makes it interesting
