 Seraph translates literally to "burning one". It is a type of angel mentioned in the Bible and a word I think just sounds cool. The apostrophe is to make the word look more exotic.

The shot is a macro of a dried flower/thistle I took on a recent outing.

A stumper, so meets the challenge. Love the focus and DOF. Colors are terrific. Composition, which ought to lead my eye out of the frame, actually does the opposite and draws me in. Well done. Among best of show.

I'm guessing plant based, maybe something burst open to release seeds, but why would that be lit from within ? Hmmm, you have me stumped. It is a beautiful image. 10
