This is the edge of a mouth-blown ashtray. I still see it, but I hope the viewers don't. Lit with a flashlight from the side.

Used a nik efex filter to emphasize the graduated color.

Nope, didn't see it as an ashtray :) But I love how it really does look like it's moving. Great effects, too.

It is an ancient and little known art outside of the older parts of Japan, but it's a fact that single celled organisms can be taught to do tricks, just like mammals. Here we see a 1 week old paramecium jumping on a command from it's trainer.
