Kailey is pretty cool too. Good job, but until I see an explanation my (and other peoples) comment below still stands. ;-) |
ok....are you guys ready? is everyone sitting down? have you put the kids to bed? here is the story:THERE IS NO FREAKIN STORY!!!! lol seriously we were out shooting in Tacoma and I just really like the underside of the bridge as a backdrop, i liked the randomness of someone all made up standing under a bridge in the inner city. when i was getting these comments during the voting i was thinking "man, if this was one of those bizarre ads in vogue magazine people would think the photographer was brilliant"
As for the title, it was just the first thing that came to mind, basically just the two main elements in the shot, thats all :) |

Very nice separation, and composition. |

Technical fundamentals are there, but there really is no context or story for this shot to take it to the next level. |

Okay......kind of a weird title but an excellent portrait. IMNSHO the bridge is irrelevant. 7 |

Your model is just gorgeous, but the bridge just doesn't fit in IMHO. Nice lighting. If you had a very shallow DOF or more plain background it would be much nicer. |

Quite an improvement over your "practice" images. Better job with the background here, and good skin tones and pose. |

Pleasant evening lighting on a pretty girl. I'm not sure the background scenery adds to it for me. |

Nice soft lighting, nice dof, great composition. I prefer portraits with a little more life in them, she seems very plastic/stoic in this, almost like a doll. Maybe that's what you were going for though. |

I don't think the location complements the model very well. 6 |

This is quite good. I like the way her skin has rendered, a like the catchlight in her eyes. However, I feel that the pose is very 'forced' and the background could have been thrown into some nicer 'bokeh'. I will certainly come back to this after the challenge and take another look. |

Yes. That's the best one of the series. |

Great dof and spot on focus. I like how she is almost looking at the camera, I find myself looking over my left shoulder to try to see what she is looking at! |

I'm not sure why the bridge is important... It seems an odd backdrop (especially if one ignores the title), but she's well lit and almost doll like in the processing. It makes me think of a video game for some reason. She's quite beautiful. (not voting yet) |

I dig the soft lighting, I think I would have wanted to see it with the backround even more out of focus but still visibly a bridge. |

the portrait is excellent - light, details, focus - the bridge does not add anything to the shot IMO - sorry... |
