The desat just throws me for a loop here, the other half is brilliant with its golden glossy tones, nicely sharp and good DOF, clean looking .should have kept it on both sides

I really like the near symmetry in this piece. Also your use of desaturation and blending helped make this photo one of my top picks.

Oh dear...I'm afraid that while this idea is interesting, the execution is truly half-baked. And the border is just wayyy too much.

Ugly. This kind of color change doesn't work for me. Border detracts as well.

I'm very sorry, but that looks extremely unappetizing. Nice comp, but turkey looks just gross in B&W.

You should try a rotisserie. That way both sides of the bird will cook :)
