Wonderful use of light and a strong composition. Her half smile somehow creates a refreshing, impish, "I've got a secret" kind of mood, further enhanced by her looking out of the frame at something she finds amusing but which we can only guess at. |

PostLuminous Award Nominee!
stark, dramatic, old-school-master style of contrast
composition--she is nearly out of frame, and looking out, but the sunlit wall pulls the image back into frame. superb. |

This has an amazing b&w 'film-like' quality to it. Classic. |

kind of felt the same thing.

She's got a Mona Lisa smile going on. I like the shadow play in the back. 7 |

Looks like a billboard to me with open space on the right for lettering. I like how the directional lighting crosses with the vertical lines on the wall. Unusual to see the subject looking out of the shot but I think it really works here. |

I like the composition. The emptyness of the right portion brings some anxiety, I'm wondering what is she looking at, it's intriguing and interesting. Great approach. |

There is just something about this one that I like. Great contrast and facial expression on the model. The composition is sort of odd and cool. Has a blend of "real" and "artistic". Very nice. |

Nice lighting and great in b&w, I understand the frame placement because of the shadow, but if she were moved in a wee bit more, and the door jam were cropped this imo, would have been super fabulous. But its not too bad the way it is now, I really like it. 9 besides who's the master...lol |
