 My first submission with my dSLR. This one did not quite come up to my expectation and it is the first time i submit a last moment entry.
I feel so ashamed of owning such a grand machine, the D80, and not getting time to put together my best shot. i dont feel quite worth it!

hope to try harder next time

Nope! You forgot VIBGYOR! There are some curved lines too :). Try finding them out. So "Just Straight Lines" is kind of unjust :(. If you can't find them let me know. By the way CONGRATULATIONS on your new purchase. Good luck!

the lighting seems hard to me and the pencils are not in perfect focus

I like this idea. Someone else also did similar. Youa re let down a little by a few attention to detail elments. The Red Pencil needed to be turned so we can't see the brand. The upside down writing facing away distracts. Also, the photo is not straight. It needed to be rotated slightly. This is evident in the top were the pencil is cut off

I think I would have liked it a bit more if the red pencil didn't have lettering showing.
