Greetings from the critique club...

Congratulations on the great finish! I did not vote in this challenge, but if I had, you would probably have gotten a 7 from me. This is a very strong photograph overall, because it is technically sound, and it fits the theme very well. This is the type of photograph that if you showed someone who didn't know what the theme was, they would be able to guess very easily.

I like the focus you have chosen because it separates the middle ground from the back ground and the foreground. The only constructive criticism I can give is that the crop feels moderately awkward at the top left. Croping through where the coffee line meets the mug does not seem completely deliberate. Cropping a little more, or a little less would just make it that much better in my opinion. Well done!

If you need any clarification on any of my comments, please feel free to pm me. It might take some time for me to get back to you.

I don't know whether or not the blur in the top right was intentional but i find it distracting, otherwise its a cool picture.

Good shot and composition. Would have liked some of the beans to be a little more in focus, but all in all its a good photo.

I like this shot. Would have been nice to see a little more contrast and exposure on the beans to bring out the wonderful texture they have.

The coffee looks pretty bad (from a taste point of view), but I won't hold that in regards to the quality of the photo ;)

This is almost perfect. There is a glossiness in roasted beans that captures the light in a way these just don't. A darker roast, maybe? Or rubbing them around in a touch of oil before shooting?
