A last minute entry to satisfy my obligations to my DPC-O team. Coffee, fine Irish whiskey, and slightly whipped cream create this famous drink. Oh, and by the way, it was delicious....
Minor editing of DSC_7980. Shot in RAW, minor adjustments of contrast, clarity, saturation pre-conversion. Adjustment layers for Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, curves, and added noise ninja pre-resize. Sharpened post resize.

Yep - busy table cloth - it was the only one I had to use...
Yep - cut off the Jameson's bottle - but it fits the frame better. Putting it on the side would have looked worse...
Post Challenge: Thanks for the many comments - including the helpful critical ones. I always appreciate those! I would have loved to use another tablecloth and a different bowl for the coffee, but I was scrambling at the last minute to get this together.
Cheers to all at this joyous time of year! |

Cheers! I've heard whiskey spelled w an "e" is made in Ireland and if spelled w/o the "e" it's from the states or elsewhere.. The Irish have it in the whiskey dept..
Creative shot --well put together.. You are the master on creativity:) |

It sounds as if you keep these items quite near! Great idea, just right for the holidays as well. I agree with having a plain table cloth as the back drop and maybe a different perspective to get everything in. But as usual, wonderful lighting and composition. |

Well, I'm sorta partial to scotch meself, but...whatever, good shot...not sure if the table cloth works for me or not, but...that's just being nitpicky |

A couple of problems I find with this photograph: The way the Jameson bottle is cut off, and the table cloth. The cloth makes things too busy; Something simpler would've worked better, IMHO. And the cut of the Jameson bottle just looks so odd to me. Either a higher crop so we can see the whole bottle, or maybe laying it on its side, would've made it better. |

Nice shot although the bottle looks "cut off." I think its the same effect when you crop a person at the knees or other joint. It looks incomplete. |

Nice product shot. But I think the tablecloth is a bit over the top and clutters up the image. |
