| I've taken almost exactly the same image! I don't know if you had any trouble with focusing, but it was a bugger for me. The breeze was blowing the limb around, so I couldn't manually focus or auto focus. I think your results are better than what I came up with. I like that you can see other branches, thick with ice, in the background. Hey, I now see that was the challenge, so great job, heh. |

| I think your shot should have done much better - maybe a case of the definition of bokeh in users' minds? Really nice shot - hope we see another one in the free study this month! |

| I have some similar shots from an ice storm we had last year in Oklahoma. There's nothing quite so beautiful (a shame that it's so destructive) as the world encased in ice. 8 |

| Lots of things encased in ice this challenge! It is pretty, but I'm jusst as happy the storm skipped my neck of the woods. |
