A commentary on the absurdity of the so-called artwork rule.

Also a rejection of photographic norms and conventional DPC "wisdom."

Besides, someone has to shake things up.

Obviously, I have grossly overestimated the average voter's intelligence.

It does not bother me if the "deeper" meaning was not widely understood. I realize many people may not have read any of the forum threads regarding this particular rule. Still, I think anyone who has actually bothered to read the rules would be able to "get it." But, that's neither here nor there.

I thought most members of a photography website would have at least seen a picture frame at some point.

There is glass in the frame. Glass is transparent. I took a picture of a picture through the glass in the picture frame. Why is it so difficult to see how that fits the challenge description? It is not shoehorned; it is not out-of-the-box; it is blatantly in-your-face.

LOL good rules explanation in title. I was so concerned about that rule on a current challenge I included multiple artworks (not paintings) to ensure I didn't violate a rule. Now I wish I could figure out what yours is and how it relates to transparency. It looks like a cut-out cardboard in a picture frame.

Not totally sure what this is. An abstract photo viewed through the glass of the frame, I think. I like your testing of the rules.
