Very nicely composed picture! I like the poise of your GrandPa, and the b+w conversion is great!

This is a very good photo. The skewness of the fireplace is a bit distracting to me. It is not skew enough to look intentional. It looks unintentional. Either have it SKEW or have it straight.
Still a good photo. The light on Grand pa is great! |

For me it's slightly too dark, loosing detail in the shadows, but I really like how you included the environment in the shot. |

I so wish this "slice of life" had been better lit to better define the subject. Too much interesting stuff to look at. |

Good environmental portrait. I think the b&w works well. |

I wish this were leveled up ... it makes me a bit disoriented.
Other than that, I really like it all. 7 |

Nice portrait in a very good setting. The dark areas seem just a little too dark, perhaps just a very slight increase in shadow areas would be good. 8 |

... there is a reason we use the word Grand. |

Ooh... I love this shot. The setting makes for a great environmental portrait. The light highlights him just right. Black & white is perfect for this. I wish there were a tad more detail in his pants. I also wish he were looking at the camera. My favorite so far! |
