Lovely shot Terry! Congrats on the top 10. And, no I wouldn't tell her it was here either. |

I like this picture very very much for the mood, composition (innovative in that), and intent that it presents. Great!
:-), Vikram
Just a small point: I wish it had a greater DOF (but that is just me). |

I'm sure she wouldn't be happy to know this, but the wrinkles create an amazing texture here. Very evocative shot, although I think the focus is on the hair next to her ear, making the focus on the eyes a tad soft. |

Incredible subject for the topic and nice bw renderint. Faces are so important that in a portrait where the eyes are visible in the image, the focus needs to be there instead of the hand. Had the face been averted, the hand would indeed tell a compelling story, but that eye cannot be neglected. |

Nice portrait and interesting angle. Portraits should tend to focus on the eye area though, and it seems you have just missed that and focused more on the cheek. This will always tend to happen with autofocus, which I'm guessing is the case here. It's a good idea to try a few shots using manual focus when doing portraits with this sort of DOF. |

Perhaps this is a style preference, but I would prefer her face to be in focus more than her hair. This is a wonderful close up B & W. |

i like this pic more than any other else in this challenge but i think you can let go of the borders. your framing is excellent enough that you dont need the borders to enhance the image. |
