I'm sorry that calling this a "monument" wasn't useful to you, and I'm glad that I didn't confuse you further with a posthumous ribbon. |

Thank for your commnents, some of them are useful. This is a iron pole on ariver bank and the ice is upon it, the ice is not quite clear so only the rusty links braeking thro seems to be in focus. The white specks are only airbubbles in the ice. |

I have real mixed feeling about this image. I like the lighter edges and the ice and the way the rusty links break through but the main submerged structure doesn't appeal, sorry |

I like this but the snowflakes (?) seem fake. Were they added in post? |

Interesting. Most of the intrigue is in upper 2/3, maybe crop out the bottom 1/3? |

I find it hard to concentrate on your image because there is no specific focus, if there is the icy water makes it difficult to discern.

huh, not quite sure what im looking at heree, but im pretty sure its a mystical tower partically hidden by a magic spell that keeps the curious mortals at bay. and the white speckles are little fairies that come and pinch your ears if you get too close to the tower.

After a bloody war that lasted decades, the evil that had spawned it had finally been subdued. A band of warriors had finally brought the monster down, and the greatest sorcerers of the age worked to lock such evil in a prison that they thought could never be penetrated.
For millenia, the evil rested in that prison, encased in iron, chains, and ice. There it stayed until it was utterly forgotten, and the magics that held it there began to fade.
It was a time of peace and happiness in the world, where good and light prevailed. It was a day of warmth and celebration, when that unnatural sound echoed through the land. The sound of a sheet of ice breaking.
The sound of the failing of the bonds that held the monster.
The sound of the end of all of existence. |

Other than chains, what is it? The reflections off the ice are distracting. Cool patterns, though. |
