 Star of India and other ships in the San Diego Maritime Museum. It was very foggy Dec 30 with the nearby International airport shut down, but the fog was lifting by the time I was able to get there about 03:30. I'm thinking I should have moved to the right to cover the Russian sub, but my wide lens setting (already at widest 18mm) wouldn't have gotten as much of the Star of India.

The orange cast in night photos is often difficult to fix, especially as some industrial lights are super-orange. Even setting the camera to tungsten white balance won't always fix it enough. I like the idea of this shot, but the colours don't work for me at all. You can adjust the colours to some extent in Photoshop, and shooting RAW will give more leeway to adjust this.

what a beautiful boat. seems a bit undersaturaded or something though, perhaps beacuase of all those lights in the background
