 Taken at home on our stove

Not much editing.
Nikon Capture (trial version) for Raw and conversion to .tiff
Open in PS2
Levels layer black point to remove the handle glare on the upper RHS and make background solid black.
Brightness/contrast layer B+3 C+25 also helped to remove final remains of handle.
Small clone to remove distraction/discolouration very top RH side only small area.
Flatten and save as .jpg
Resize to 720
Convert to sRGB
Small levels adjustment as the convert made the red look like blood ewww.
Save for web

Good job capturing the warm, creaminess of the soup. The spots where its boiling up are a little distracting and detract from the image, in my opinion.

Definitely a cooking photo but it lacks the rich red that you would expect from the subject.
