very nice shot and yes "point of view is the key". It took me a few moments to figure this out because of the shadow but alas I did and alas I may too try to recreate this just out of curriosity.
congrats on a great photo! |

I think a standard yellow pencil would have looked much better in place of the brown pencil. Not enough color (if you are going to use color which you did) but still a good photo. |

Wow, very good set up! Turning a drawn effect into a photo, wow, must have been difficult. Very convincing! Score upgraded from 8 to 9. Swash |

escher optic teaser...strong and simple. if you introduced some color on your pencil would it help balance the blue of the pin? just a thought. still a good shot. (8) ~mcmurma |

This is a great illusion. The photo is pretty good too, but I see it as 'potentially a great photo' but that's not all bad. I think this one would be more dramatic put in B&W since there isn't an extraordinary amount of color. The concept is great though and I think it would be worth reshooting just for personal reasons. - Inspzil |

Very well done. Good illusion. Great depth and 3-D to picture. Very sharp and clear. Like placement of object in picture. A 10 for sure. |

Very Escher-esque. :-) I keep wondering what it would look like without the pencil and pin though. 6 kathleenm |

Great illusion and awesome shot! Thanx for making me racking my brain! Was it inevitable for this illusion to put the pencil and the blue pin into the picture? - nds |

This would be a 10 without the tac or pencil. I love the illusion of the black and white area. Still a top scorer:) |
