 I'm expecting the most uneven lighting award.

Recently got a new G4 as well as a new desk!

Totally last minutes with horrendous lighting, I know.

Almost didn't submit, but anyway.

Let the bashing begin.

Your image is not very clean. Also if you were trying for Rule of Thirds, you might have considered putting the apple at one of the axis' of the 1/3 lines.

I would have cloned out the black dots to make the grey more even.

The thought that comes to mind when looking at this photo is,"How desperate do you have to be for subject matter before you turn to something as dull as this?" Technically, I guess it's not too bad a shot but it is very very boring in terms of color, texture, tonal contrast, and topical interest (I like my Macs too but, jeesh!) You could have possibly added interest to this by framing the Apple log in one of the lower corners rather than at the center edge. I gave this a three.

Very simple. The photo is a bit grey and not too engaging or interesting. The shadow is nice, but the colors are a bit drab. I would consider a different subject or perhaps put something else like a mouse or keyboard in the shot too.
