A lovely picture of a rose, but I can't help think it would me more iconically Ansel if it had some driftwood too :-)
I still predict this will score well though. |

Excellent working of the tonalities, great detail and DOF. I'm really bugged by the way the "turned" section of petal on the lower left border is an eyetrap that pulls me away from the center of the image where I want to rest: I wish you'd carefully isolated and toned down that one spot, it would have paid great dividends in overall impact. |

no doubt inspired by Ansel's less well know sephia photography. nice but the color will hurt you I suspect. |
