| I don't like the artistic appeal of this, but I do like the higlighting on the pistol and the overall darkness; It works to creat a fitting mood. |

| Absolutely vivid & bold. Great statement, and the natural fall-off of the light is top notch. My personal choice in this shot would have been to frame it where the "sun" was striking the roses from the petal side rather than stem side, but it's a choice for which I certainly can't fault someone else! |

| People are voting critically this challenge because they aren't using their brain. But this photo is GREAT! Life- the flower itself, or the LIFE term you'll get if you use the gun on someone. Death - the gun itself or the flowers that you place on a grave. I don't know if you meant this double-edged opposition, where each subject could represent both LIFE and DEATH, but this is truly well done. (9) |

| Guns´n Roses. Though I´m not very interested in guns or other wepons I like this image and find the idea fine. Maybe the roses would have needed a litle better lightning. |
