(while I realize this isn't a terribly helpful comment, I can't come up with anything else...)
huh?! |

nice shot...egg plants a little out of focus...was that on purpose? |

Interesting take on the challenge. My only objection is that I'd prefer it in sharp focus, and maybe a little differently lighted to show the individual eggplants. 9 |

I don't really understand this picture, and it's weird that the only thing focused is the eggs. |

Interesting idea for this challenge. I like the play on words. Seems that there's not enough focus in this, though the composition is good. |

I don't get it. Not sure what the opposite theme is supposed to be. I'm guessing those are eggplants behind the eggs? I personally wouldn't know since I have never bought or even looked at an eggplant in the store :)
The shot is cropped a bit tight on the sides and bottom, would like to see the whole bowl and the focus is really lacking on the plant part. The eggs look almost too sharp compared to the plants considering they are in the same bowl, not sure why that came out that way. I like the green on the top, adds a splash of contrast to the bowl and it's contents. Also, if the lighting was just a bit brighter it might really help this shot jump out at me. I like the overall composition but as it stands a 3 |

This is completely out of focus. |

This is very very odd. The lighting on the eggs (in focus) seems totally separate from the Veg (which is out of focus) which is blurrier than the greens in the background. As a photograph depicting opposites it works though coz everything works against each other to make it truly horrible. |

Interesting photo, but the focus is soft. Tweak it and have a great photo! |

There's something about the colors that turns me off about this piece - just looking a bit too bright and fake for my taste - 4 |

Eggplant and eggs.....okay. I don't really see this as Opposites. They share a name, but that would be all. Sorry. :( |

It's kinda hard to make out those purple things with the narrow DOF. I assume they are phallic in shape? |

Only the eggs are in focus, which destroys any chance of a decent shot. More DOF, smaller apperture, longer exposure, tripod, lights .... all these would have helped produce a crisper image. |

So that's where eggplant comes from! This image is unfortunately hurt by being mostly out of focus. The exposure is also to dark to show the eggplant well. A brighter bowl might have helped the eggplant stand out more. |
