I chased my roosters around for a couple days trying to get a crowing shot that suited me! Cropped,levels adjusted, sharpened, border added, resized for posting.

I only have a very short time to score this category. I just wanted you to know that I scored this a 7, but as soon as I clicked the button to go to the next screen, this picture called me back. I'm moving it to a 9 just because it made me come back for a second look. Not many picture make you rethink yourself.

very good idea for this challenge. could also be a very good photo, but what have you done? To much shadows/highlights or something else?

Nice, except for what looks like some harsh flash. Could possibly use some color adjustment of levels, curves and saturation. Depends on what look you were going for though.
