A single tree, found alongside a farm property, a few minutes from where I live. Originally I wanted to redo the Hayfield Tree from some years ago for Single Tree, but cold weather and horrible light nixed that.
Title? Couldn't come up with something clever and witty. I mean that it can take just one shot to make you say, 'That's what I want', pack up and go home. In this case it was more like 30 shots all told, as the light kept changing.

| Truly gorgeous winter light. The kind of light that ONLY exists in winter - cold, clean, crisp, with that tinge of pink. 'Tis really a very pretty tree - the simple, centered composition shows it off quite nicely. |

| I don't know whether the tree is coated in ice or over sharpened, but either way, I like the bright effect. |

| pretty tree, but im not exactly fond of the tight crop, some room on maybe the right would have opened the scene nicely |

| The detail in the snow in the foreground is nicely preserved here, good exposure and color balance on an overall rather high key shot |
