Very fine photograph. What's so very good about it is that you knew that the tree could not, should not, be made into a 'hero' in this photograph. It's nearly buried here, nearly overwhelmed, and that's the majesty of it ... that it has insisted on remaining a tree, and a proper one, even against this level of affront. The birds appreciate it, and so did you. Me too. 10

It must be something to see this grand tree popping out in the middle of a busy residential area. I love the black and white tone and the highlight around the tree area.

Too busy for the masses I fear, but I really like this. I especially like that despite the busy aspect, there does appear to be only this one tree in the neighborhood, in an isolated bit of what was once farmland and desperately trying to hang on, depsite what appears to be suburbia creeping in on every side.

Incredible contrast and tonal range - just gorgeous creating a real interst in the image. The tree isn't exactly the main focal point of the iamge, but it's still a solid entry. 6.
